Dear Zixuan:

Your request to apply for more than 6.0 units on an International Letter of Permission during the 2023 Winter term has been approved on behalf of the Associate Dean (Academic).

As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that ??normally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen??s? and we see that you have already received a Letter of Permission for 21.0 units in previous terms. However, after reviewing your file, we will allow you to take 18.0 units of electives during the 2023 Winter term at Fort Hays State University and Arizona State University. This will require two International Letters of Permission application forms since you plan to take courses as two. You will then have taken 39.0 units on International Letters of Permission to date. Please know that full-time students are allowed to take a maximum of 18.0 units per term including courses that they are enrolled in at another institution.

We strongly advise you to use your Academic Progress Report in SOLUS when planning your courses, so that you can be sure that you are on track for your intended graduation date.

You may now apply for an International Letter of Permission through the International Programs Office. We would strongly suggest that you remain closely connected with this office so that you can be made aware of potential disruptions to your international studies if they happen.

Let me remind you that the full refund drop deadline for Queen??s Winter term courses is January 20th, 2023. The first date to register in Queen??s Summer term courses is February 6th, 2023.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the International Programs office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.

Finally, please be advised that you are allowed to complete a maximum of 57.0 transfer units towards your BA Honours degree program (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3).

We wish you well in your international studies.
