Category: Drop a course after the academic deadline
Dear Yasaman Shahidian:
I have carefully considered your petition to drop PHYS 316, PHYS 344 and PHYS 432 (F22) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.
I have granted this appeal due to the severity and academic impacts of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed within the documentation that you supplied. I want to remind you that it is your responsibility to evaluate your academic progress before the academic drop deadline of the term and make sure to drop courses that you have fallen behind in or find the material too difficult in. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.
Going forward, I suggest that you remain connected with your Queen??s Student Accessibility Services (QSAS) Advisor who can help you manage the impacts of your health on your academics.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
Yours sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
