I have carefully considered your petition to take more than 6.0 units on an International Letter of Permission during the 2022/2023 academic year. After reviewing your file, I have decided to deny your request.
I acknowledge that you wanted to take 6.0 units of electives on a Letter of Permission along with the 12.0 units of courses that you are already enrolled in for the 2023 Winter term. I have denied this request as I see that you attempted 18.0 units in the 2022 Fall term, including courses taken at another University, and achieved a low term GPA of 1.47 in your Queen??s courses. I am concerned that taking more courses at another University may impact your grades at Queen??s even further.
I certainly empathize with your situation and understand that this is a disappointing decision however, I want to remind you that you can take online electives through Arts and Science online during the upcoming Summer term. Course enrollment for the Summer term will begin on February 6.
