Dear Mr. Waligun:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ECON 320 and ECON 332 (W 2015) past the academic deadline as well as receive credit standing in ECON 310 (W 2015). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Your request to waive the 21-day deadline to appeal courses from 2007 to 2012 has already been heard and denied by Dr. Horton and the decision was upheld by the Board of Studies. This matter is therefore closed and cannot be reheard.

Your ongoing medical condition will no longer qualify as an extenuating circumstance because you should now be well aware of your limitations and be proactive in dropping courses when you find that you cannot participate in the class.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in Important Dates Section on the Arts and Science web page. These deadlines have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's.
