I have granted this request due to the timeline and academic impacts of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed by the documentation that you supplied. Going forward, it is your responsibility to assess your progress in your courses by week 7 of the term. If you have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, you should drop the course by week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.
I would also suggest that you consider registering for Queen??s Student Accessibility Services (QSAS) if you haven??t done so already so that you can obtain ongoing support from a Counsellor who can help you manage the impacts of your health on your academics.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
