I have carefully considered your appeal for Aegrotat Standing in PSYC 100 (FW22/23), GPHY 227, HIST 214, STAM 200, and WRIT 225 (W23). After reviewing your file, I have decided to deny your request.
As you know, Academic Appeal and Petition regulation 3.3.1.3 states that ??Aegrotat standing is reserved for a course in which a student who, because of illness or other extenuating circumstances beyond their control, is unable to complete all the work of the class. At least 60 per cent of the work to be evaluated in the class (assignments, midterms, laboratories, final examination, as specified in the class syllabus) must be complete. As part of the petition decision process, the instructor must assert that the student has met all of the course learning outcomes.?
I acknowledge that you have been unable to attend school since March 9 due to the ongoing impacts of your extenuating circumstances however the information that I received from your instructors indicates that you are not eligible for an Aegrotat estimated grade in these classes.
Your instructor of PSYC 100 confirmed that you haven??t met the learning outcomes based on the work that you had completed in this course to date.
Your instructor of GPHY 227 has indicated that you had only completed 17% of course but is willing to allow you an Incomplete Grade so that you can complete the outstanding components during the 2023 Summer term. Please connect with Professor Cohen to chat about this option further.
Your instructor in HIST 214 indicated that you have completed less than 30% of this course and have not met the learning outcomes based on the work that has been graded.
Your Teaching Assistant in WRIT 225 has indicated that you haven??t completed enough components in the course to meet the learning outcomes however, they are willing to allow you an Incomplete Grade so that you can complete the outstanding components during the 2023 Summer term.
