Dear Ms. Milliken:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop PHYS 117B (W 2015) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I would like to note that I am granting your appeal based on your self-declaration of illness at the time of the exam. The note you supplied from KGH is inadequate as it does not confirm the timeline, severity or impact that your illness had on your ability to write your exam. Any further appeals submitted to the Faculty Office for consideration must include documentation from a healthcare professional that clearly indicates the timeline and severity of your illness as well as the impact that it had on your ability to drop courses within the academic deadlines.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
