I have carefully considered your petition for an Extension of an Incomplete Grade in CHEM 497 (FW20/21), and to drop BCHM 218 (F21), ENSC 390, CHEM 223, DEVS 221 (W22) and DEVS 221 (W23) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided the following:

To grant your request for an extension of an incomplete grade in CHEM 497 (FW20/21) as the documentation that you supplied confirms that you were impacted by your extenuating circumstances during both the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic years. You are permitted until August 31, 2023 to complete the outstanding work in this course and it is your responsibility to connect with the instructor to make the appropriate arrangements.

To grant your request to drop BCHM 218 (F21), ENSC 390, CHEM 223, DEVS 221 (W22) and DEVS 221 (W23) past the academic deadline due to the timeline and severity of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed by the documentation that you supplied. Your grades in these courses will be replaced with a ?DR?? notation on your transcript.

Going forward you should know that it is the student??s responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on their classes during week 7 of the term. If they have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, they should drop the course by week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Faculty of Arts and Science web page, have been established to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.
