Dear Irene,
As part of the standard process when appealing to the Board of Studies, the Associate Dean (Academic) reviews your appeal submission. I have carefully considered your appeal to waive the 21-day petition deadline. I am glad to see that this petition is now supported by documentation. Previously the petition was denied due to a lack of documents. The newly provided documents attest to a new diagnosis and new registration with QSAS. This suggests a need for retroactive accommodation.
I have decided therefore to waive the 21-day petition deadline and in addition to grant a late drop for PHYS 117 (F22).
You mentioned in your letter a desire to have CR considered for other courses. Since this was not included in the original petition, I do not have information from the professors of those courses to make a determination of the impact of your disability on the specific academic requirements. Now that the 21-day deadline is waived, you may proceed with a petition for those courses if you wish.
Please allow 7-10 business days for your transcript to be updated to reflect the dropped course.
Yours sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Academic)
