Dear William Glaspell:

I have carefully considered your petition for Credit Standing in PSYC 100 (FW22/23), KNPE 125 (W23), MATH 121 and CISC 101 (S23). After reviewing your file and the information that I received from your instructors, I have decided to grant your petition.

Your grades in these classes will be changed to a “CR” notation on your transcript.

I have granted this request due to the timeline and academic impacts of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed by the documentation that you supplied.

I want to remind you that it is the student’s responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on their classes during week 7 of the term. If they have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, they should drop the course by week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, outlined in the “Important Dates” section on the Faculty of Arts and Science web page, have been established to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.

I also suggest that you remain connected with Queen’s Student Accessibility Services (QSAS) so that you can obtain ongoing support from your Counsellor who can help manage the ongoing impacts of your health on your academics.
