I have reviewed your petition to drop STAT 263 (F23) after the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I acknowledge that you have dropped your full year classes so that you can start fresh in the 2024 Winter term and I have granted this petition due to the timeline and continued academic impacts of these extenuating circumstances during the Fall term as confirmed within the documentation that you supplied. Going forward, you should know that it is the student’s responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on their classes during week 7 of the term. If they have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, they should drop the course by week 8 of term.
