I have carefully considered your petition to drop CISC 101 (F23) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Your grade in this course will be replaced with a DR notation on your transcript.

I want you to know that this was a lenient decision as your petition suggests that your extenuating circumstances began to impact your academic ability prior to the drop deadline of the Fall term. I have granted this request due to the academic impacts of your circumstances as confirmed within the documentation that you supplied.

Going forward, it is the student’s responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on their classes during week 7 of the term. If they have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, they should drop the course by week 8 of term.
