Dear Rachel:

I have carefully considered your petition request to waive the petition deadline related to the F19, W20, F20, W21, F21, W22, and S22 terms. After reviewing your file, I have decided the following:

To grant your request to waive the petition deadline related to the F19, W20, F20, W21, F21, W22, and S22 terms and I will allow you to drop GPHY 203, GPHY 320 (F19), GPHY 227, GPHY 314, GPHY 368 (F20), GPHY 254, GPHY 332, IDIS 302 (W21), GPHY 330, GPHY 339, GPHY 351 (F21), GPHY 319, GPHY 337, GPHY 352 (W22) and GPHY 362 (S22) after the academic deadline without having to submit a subsequent petition.

Your grades in these courses will be replaced by a DR notation on your transcript.

I want you to know that instructors aren’t obligated to keep records related to student’s individual grades past one year of the term ending. As I do not have enough information to make a decision on the following courses, I cannot offer you Credit Standing in GPHY 209 (F20), GPHY 203 (W21) and GPHY 230 (W22) as it is unclear if you are eligible for this academic option.

If you are concerned with the impact that these courses have on your GPA, I would suggest that you consider repeating them in a future term. When repeating the exact same course code, both attempts will appear on your transcript however, only the higher grade will be included within the calculation of your cumulative GPA.
