I will grant your request to drop BCHM 316 (W24) after the academic deadline due to the timeline and academic impacts of extenuating circumstances as confirmed within the documentation that you supplied. Your grade in this course will be replaced with a DR notation on your transcript.
Adam, I want to take this time to remind you that it is never suggested that a student write an exam while unwell. Academic Consideration is a process for the university community to provide a compassionate response to assist students experiencing a short-term extenuating circumstance. Regarding your request for Credit Standing in BCHM 315 (F23), as your petition did not include documentation to suggest unexpected impacts on your academic performance in this course, I cannot grant this request. I also see that you were able to achieve strong grades in your other 2023 Fall term courses despite the impact of the circumstances that you described in your petition letter.
If you are concerned with the impact that this course has on your GPA, I would suggest that you consider repeating it in a future term. When repeating the exact same course code, both attempts will appear on your transcript however, only the higher grade will be included within the calculation of your cumulative GPA.
