Dear Rowan Jackson-Cappuccino:

I have reviewed your petition to take more than 6.0 units at another institution on a Letter of Permission. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

As you know, Regulation 14.1 indicates that a student on a degree program in the Faculty of Arts and Science may be permitted to take up to 6.0 units of undergraduate classes elsewhere for credit toward a degree offered by the Faculty of Arts and Science via a Letter of Permission.

I have granted this request due to the extenuating circumstances that you reported within your petition letter. I will allow you to apply for your final 3.0 units of POLS at the 400-level on a Letter of Permission.

It is important to note that some institutions are not eligible for a Letter of Permission and not all courses are eligible for transfer credits. It is your responsibility to apply for a Letter of Permission through SOLUS and receive approval before applying to the host institution.

Finally, please be advised that Bachelor of Arts Honour students are allowed a maximum of 57.0 transfer units toward their academic program and a maximum of 24.0 transfer units toward their Major plan.

Sincerely,

Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Academic)
