I would suggest that you consider registering with Queen’s Student Accessibility Services (QSAS) if you have not done so already, so that you can obtain ongoing support from an Accessibility Advisor who can help manage the ongoing impacts of your health on your academics.
I will also grant you Credit Standing in HLTH 230 (F23) and ENSC 201 (W24) without requiring a subsequent petition request. Your final grades in these courses will be replaced with a CR notation on your transcript.
Avery, I want you to know that I could not offer you Credit Standing in any courses from the 2022 Fall or 2023 Winter terms. Instructors are not obligated to retain information related to individual student grades beyond one year after a term concludes. Without verification that you completed each graded component in these courses and achieved the learning outcomes, I cannot consider Credit Standing in them.
Going forward, you should know that it is your responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on your coursework prior to the drop deadline of the term. If you fall behind in a course or find the material too difficult, you should drop the course by deadline. The drop deadlines, outlined in the “Important Dates” section on the Faculty of Arts and Science web page, have been established to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.
