I have reviewed your request to apply for a retroactive letter of permission to transfer credits for courses taken through Athabasca University in Fall 2014. As you know, Regulation 14.1 indicates that, €œThe student must obtain a Letter of Permission from the Arts and Science Faculty Office prior to enrolling in classes at another post-secondary institution.€ This type of request would not normally be granted; however, given that these are the last courses you need to graduate, I agree to this request.

Please consult with Karen McBride in the Faculty of Arts and Science as soon as possible so she can guide you on your next steps.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the Faculty of Arts and Science Office by 15 May to be considered for graduation at Spring Convocation, or by 15 October for Fall Convocation. Finally, please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.
