Your petition has been granted. I will allow you to apply for a Letter of Permission for 9.0 units of courses at other institutions during the 2026 Summer term. Please know that students can take a maximum of 18.0 units per term, including courses taken at other institutions.

It is important to note that some institutions are not eligible for a Letter of Permission, and not all courses are eligible for transfer credits. It is your responsibility to apply for a Letter of Permission through SOLUS and receive approval before applying to the host institution.

Also, please be advised that students admitted to the Faculty of Arts and Science prior to Fall 2024 are allowed a maximum of 57.0 transfer units toward their academic program and a maximum of 24.0 transfer units (excluding supporting courses) toward their Major plan and 12.0 units toward their minor plan.

Finally, it is the students’ responsibility to follow their degree requirements as listed in their Academic Progress Report in SOLUS. According to your report, upon successful completion of your 2026 Winter term courses, you require more than 15.0 units to complete your degree. I encourage you to meet with an Arts and Science Faculty Academic Advisor to discuss an academic plan moving forward.
