Petition Letter
Good afternoon,
My name is Mackenzie Porter and I am currently in the final year of my Undergraduate Degree in Health Studies and Psychology.
I am writing to appeal the Add deadline for adding courses in the Winter 2023 term. I had not realized I was still in need of one final elective in order to graduate this spring. As a result, I have missed the deadline to enroll in classes, however I still need one final course. Therefore, I have emailed multiple different professors to ask permission to join their course, at this point in the semester.
I was able to get in touch with Dr. Dueck from the history department who has graciously granted me permission to join his course, HIST220. If you would please be able to enroll me in this course, so that I am able to graduate this spring, it would be greatly appreciated.
Finally, I understand it is my responsibility to enroll in all courses in the designated timeframe. However, it was not until I applied to graduate that I realized I still needed one final course, at which time the add deadline had passed. I really would like to graduate this spring and already have a full-time job set up for when I do. Therefore, if I am able to be put in the course HIST220, I would be very grateful.
