Petition Letter
I'm writing to appeal to drop the course CHEM 321 from my 2023 Winter semester late.
I had an extenuating circumstance involving my disability that prevented me from doing work properly for about 2 weeks, making me extremely late to several assignments in the course that, in addition to my other courses, will make it very difficult to catch up maintaining proper academic performance.
I talked to my professor in the course (Dr. Zhe She) and he agreed that this would be a good option for my situation.
I've also communicated with my academic advisor (Ellen Babb) about the situation and she also thought this would be a good step to take.
I have some documentation from my psychiatrist detailing the leave of absence.
