Petition Letter
Dear Academic Dean of Arts and Sciences,
I apologize for the late nature of this email. I understand you are all very busy with administrative work at this time. With that being said, I had a traumatic experience occur while I was writing my first exam of this term. The student directly beside me had an alarming seizure. He seized for over three minutes before eventually being removed from the exam room. Due to my anxiety and my proximity to the seizure I have had immense difficulty recovering from this traumatic event. I have been unable to sleep at night as every time I close my eyes I begin to relive the event. This has had disastrous effects on my work habits and has rendered me unable to study. I am hoping this can be rectified by me dropping the course of MTHE-225. I understand this might be an unusual request since the exam season is already underway. However, in light of the situation, I hope some leniency can be provided. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Johnny Wright
