Petition Letter
Dear to whom it may concern,
My name is Ahmad Pottinger currently I am writing in order to drop the ENGL 276 class I took this past semester. Throughout this semester I have dealt with issues from injuring my writing hand to dealing with depression and other extenuating circumstances that affected me this semester. I brought these issues up with my 276 instructor who said that she did not think she could honor my consideration to hand in any late work even when I had correct documentation from student wellness as well as the considerations office. After this major setback and after talking extensively with wellness about my options, we decided that the best course of action would be to late drop this course as I am already in summer school In order to stop myself from going onto academic probation due to my failure in this class because of the incident even when I had the correct documents to allow it.
