Petition Letter
Dear University,
I was very disappointed that I did not pass this course. I believe that my exam deserves to be received because it seems as though I had completed proofs that were given 0 points. I demonstrated my knowledge of the course material and was not awarded enough points. I believe that 30% failure rate with an average of a D is excessively high and perhaps the course was too difficult. Furthermore, I was returned the midterm at week 10, which was not enough to adjust any quiz grades or readjust studying for the final exam. It is beyond my control that this exam was not marked properly and was clearly too difficult for the course.
Additionally, I was under constant stress all year due to my roommate who would constantly attack me. She had parties during exam week and I seeked counselling due to the trauma she caused me that further added to the challenges that I was pre-disposed to in the course.
Thank you for your consideration

NEW LETTER:
Here is my new letter, with my parents letter attached.
During second semester, I faced a multitude of mental health issues due to my roommate harassing me via text messages and having late night parties despite my attempts to ask her to stop. This caused in therapy, and medication subscription via Student Wellness as well as missing several rehearsals of the Queen??s University Orchestra, led by Professor Wolf Tormann. Dr Tormann was aware of my mental health issues and was accommodating, but at the time I had not received my midterm back for MATH281. In week 10, when it was received it was too late to change my study habits, even though I had begun seeking therapy. I hope that due to the circumstances a late drop would be accommodated, I would greatly appreciate it.
