Academic Plan
In my appeal, I have expressed my intention to change programs due to subjective and ongoing circumstances. Over the past two terms at Queens, I have realized that I am not passionate about the Life Sciences program. Unfortunately, before I could apply for a transfer to the Kinesiology program, I received a notice for my required withdrawal. To improve my GPA and explore alternative options, I aim to drop specific courses I may have struggled with and retake them later if required for the Kinesiology program. Additionally, I plan to pursue a lighter course load to avoid feeling overwhelmed and to focus on courses that align better with my interests and abilities. Throughout this process, I will maintain regular communication with advisors and counsellors, seeking their guidance on accommodations and balancing my mental health concerns with my academic responsibilities.
Furthermore, I am committed to seeking additional help from medical professionals to improve my mental health and overall well-being. By studying something of my interest, such as Kinesiology, maintaining good grades will be less challenging. My academic plan involves transferring to the Kinesiology program, dropping and retaking required courses, considering a lighter course load, and seeking ongoing support from advisors and medical professionals to achieve academic success while prioritizing my mental health.
