Academic Plan
As stated in my petition letter, for the academic period of September 2023- May 2024 my intentions are to re-enroll in Arts and Sciences part time in order to pursue a DRAM major. The challenges of last year will be well behind me at that time as I will have successfully pursued a medical transition and will feel more comfortable coming to campus and participating with my peers.
I intend to take a manageable course load as a precautionary measure and prioritize getting credits in BADR 100 and BADR 101, as well as going back to improve my grade in ARTH 120. At the end of next year I hope to be in position to declare my major (DRAM) and continue to explore my creative and academic potential within Queen's University.
It is important for me to reiterate at this time that my performance last year was impacted by a turbulent transition which has since been completed. On June 29th I will have undergone gender confirmation surgery as well as a year of hormonal replacement therapy, and anticipate that the root of my discomfort will be completely eliminated.
