Petition Letter
Dear Sir or Madam:
Hope you are very well!
Recently, when I checked my email, I found an email sent to me by the school, for which I feel very sorry. I would like to explain to you why and try to apply for withdraw waived from you. In the past year, I have been greatly affected by the death of my grandfather in my family. My parents have worked in different cities since I was young, and I have lived with my grandparents since I was a child. Unfortunately, my grandfather was diagnosed with liver cancer. Therefore, in 2022, I applied for a one-year drop to accompany my grandfather. Although my grandfather was supported for a year by the treatment provided by doctors, the cancer is incurable at present, and he only passed away in November last year. At that time, I really wanted to apply for suspending my course and return to China to attend my grandfather's funeral, but my parents, uncles and aunts all opposed my return, fearing that it would delay a long time. However, my grandfather had accompanied me for almost my whole life, so I firmly wanted to return to China to preside over my grandfather's funeral, which led to many quarrels between me and my family members. This incident has affected me for a long time, so that I have been in a state of extreme tension due to the lack of understanding from other family members. Until my grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, I was completely devastated, but my other family members still did not want me to delay my study because of this matter. I had no other choice, so I chose to give up my study for a period of time, trying to make them understand my choice. But such defiance does not seem to have been understood. After the semester ended, I bought the fastest plane ticket and returned to China. Until the day before I sent you this message, I finally finished dealing with most of the things such as the funeral after the death of my grandparents. Meanwhile, the inheritance problems caused a lot of trouble, even with the help of my parents, it still took me a lot of time to deal with these things. I mentioned this matter when I applied for Gap for one-year last year, and I will attach the previous evidence to the email file. I hope I can get the chance to withdraw my waived if possible. I promise that I will spend all the next semester retaking all the courses that I received a low score or failed in the first semester, so as to ensure that my GPA will reach 3.0 next year.I hope I get another chance.
Thank you very much for your time and attention. Look forward to your prompt reply.
