Petition Letter

To whom this may concern,
My name is Evan Huys. I am a third-year student in the Concurrent Education program, my major being history. Currently, I am petitioning to request the use of Aegrotat (AG) standing for RELS 393 (Fall 2022).
I am petitioning to request the use of an Aegrotat standing for RELS 393 (Fall 2022) due to extenuating medical circumstances that were beyond my control. Ongoing mental illness inhibited my ability to complete the entirety of RELS 393 and is the reasoning as to why I am petitioning for an Aegrotat standing now, rather than months ago.
After corresponding with my instructor for RELS 393, Professor Aditi Chowdhury Sen, we came to an agreement in which I would complete the necessary coursework to allow me to apply for an Aegrotat standing. As a result of this mutual understanding, I worked to complete the final project for RELS 393, despite not being in good health, to allow me to have completed 60% of the coursework and ultimately write this petition to request an Aegrotat standing.
I would also like to note that throughout this process, I have consulted QSAS for assistance and have been in contact with multiple medical professionals at the discretion of my family physician with the overall aim of improving my health and being able to recover the course credits associated with RELS 393.
