Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter to request to drop ENGL 327 after the academic deadline.
In June I had surgery done. During recovery, I have really struggled to keep up with my course load, as I was in a lot of pain and had to start new medications. I was intending to keep up with my course work and was hoping to complete everything but I got behind and am struggling to catch back up. In this class, I have not been able to complete a discussion and an essay, which are considerable marks in the course. I have consulted with the doctor who completed my surgery, and he said that it may be best to lessen my course load, as I did need time to recover. I will be adding a doctors note to my letter once I receive one from the office, it has been requested!
