Petition Letter
Dear Associate Dean,
I am unsure how to begin this petition letter, but I believe I have no other option left. Three months ago, I received a notice of suspension from the school, and I knew it was the dreadful outcome I had feared. However, it was an expected result, as I realized I had not attended classes for a whole year. I comprehend the gravity of this situation, and I admit that my repeated cowardice led me to evade my responsibilities. Nevertheless, as I write this letter today, my intention is not to make excuses for the mistakes I've made, but to convey to you that I am not someone who only runs away and shirks responsibilities. I hope to find an opportunity, a lifeline.
Returning to August of last year, 2022, I experienced one of the happiest moments of my life. I received an acceptance letter from Queen's University. My parents were overjoyed, for them, their son crossing borders, gaining recognition from a prestigious university, having the chance to study a good major – it was the first time I felt like
