Academic Plan
For my academic plan, I have meticulously selected my courses in the past years to set myself up
for success during my abroad experience. In my second year, I took all 4 Core B courses and
several options, such as PSYC271 and PSYC236, and I am currently enrolled in PHIL 301. By
the end of this semester, I will have completed all my core courses, as I am presently enrolled in
BIOL300, BIOL 330, and BIOL 339, leaving options and electives remaining. My selected
major allows me to take 48 units of electives, some of which I plan to fulfill abroad. Most of the
electives I have taken in previous years have counted as options courses, leaving me with lots of
space for electives. In my fourth year, I will take a 200-level CHEM to complete my degree, as I
tried to enroll in one this semester but could not get in, paired with electives.
While abroad, I plan to take The Psychology of Crime and Justice in the UK, Trends Start Here:
New Media and Behaviour, Social Psychology, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, and
Intercultural Communication for the Global Workspace. These courses focus on topics I am very
interested in and eager to learn about but have yet to have the opportunity to do so at Queens.
Taking these unique courses will allow me to expand my academic and personal horizons
and become a well-rounded, knowledgeable person in many aspects.
As you can see, I have prepared my academic plan at Queens to allow me to experience
academics abroad. This experience would be so meaningful to me for many reasons, as talked
about in my appeal, such as family connection, preparation for the future, and overall enhancing
