To whom it may concern,
I trust this letter finds you well. I am writing to discuss a matter of great significance concerning my enrollment in the MATH 130 course. After careful consideration of my academic performance, I have arrived at the challenging decision that I am unable to continue with this course.
Despite my earnest efforts to succeed in MATH 130, my recent performance on two unit tests has fallen short of the required standard. Despite my persistent attempts to improve and seeking additional assistance, my comprehension of the material has not reached the necessary level for success in the course. This has resulted in a significant decline in my confidence and has taken a toll on my overall well-being, contributing to heightened levels of anxiety.
The reason for not seeking withdrawal before the deadline was a sincere belief that, with increased dedication and hard work, I could overcome the challenges I was facing. Unfortunately, despite my persistent attempts, the situation has not improved, and I believe it is in my best interest to withdraw from the course before further impacting my academic record.
Furthermore, the implications of continuing with MATH 130 are particularly concerning for my academic goals. As someone aspiring to enter dental school, I recognize the importance of maintaining a competitive GPA. Unfortunately, this course, in its current state, poses a significant threat to my GPA, and I believe withdrawing is the best course of action to protect my academic record.
In light of this decision, I am open to any recommendations or advice you may have regarding the best course of action moving forward. I am willing to retake MATH 130 in the future or explore alternative courses that align with my academic goals. Specifically, I am open to taking MATH 121 next year or during the summer to ensure a strong foundation in mathematics.
I appreciate your understanding in this matter and am grateful for any support or insights you can provide. I am confident that, with your assistance, I can make more informed decisions about my academic path and work towards my goal of entering dental school.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Ghazal Ghorbi
