Petition Letter
Dear Queens University Registrar,
I am writing to appeal the $803.88 fine associated with my accidental enrollment in a course ANAT 100 at Queens University, resulting in an F grade. As a single 47-year-old mother financially struggling with two children, I underestimated the challenges of balancing coursework with my full-time job and family commitments, leading to the oversight of assuming the course had been dropped. I am not good with technology and was struggling to navigate Queens University's website thinking it was a technical error. Nor did I receive any emails or updates about the course and the lack of attendance. I take full responsibility for this mistake and sincerely request your understanding and compassion in waiving the fine. The demands of my personal and professional life overwhelmed my ability to manage the course effectively. I am committed to resolving this matter and am open to alternative solutions such as a payment plan or community service. I am genuinely remorseful for any inconvenience and am determined to learn from this experience while maintaining a positive academic record moving forward. I appreciate your time and consideration in reviewing this petition.
Sincerely,
Rupinder
