Petition Letter
Dear Associate Dean,
I hope this finds you well. Per my previous academic petitions, I would like to follow up and drop the following classes: FRST 105 and ANAT 380. I understand that there has been an excessive delay between the time the course began and now. However, I have been struggling mentally and physically over the last year due to my ongoing immigration issues and lack of support. In the summer of 2023, I was kicked out of my Aunt and grandparents' house and forced to live out of my car until I could find accommodations. I could handle two classes at the time, so I dropped the two other courses I was enrolled in (COGS 100 and ARTF 101).
Furthermore, the depressive situation continued into 2023, when I was unable to pass the majority of my classes because I was working two jobs to secure housing. The issue stems from my previous academic petition/the paperwork submitted for those petitions regarding immigration and deaths in my family. I am unsure of what else is needed, but I would like to still plead my case in hopes of getting these marks removed.
If you need anything else, please do not hesitate to reach out. Also, I would like to appeal last semester's grades. However, I wonder if, under these circumstances, I would be able to.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to read my application.
All the best,
Ayesha
