Academic Plan
My academic plan includes multiple steps which I believe will both strengthen my mental health, and enable me to pursue my education while performing to my true academic ability. My first step in this plan is to continue seeking medical professional help and take the medication prescribed in order to improve my mood and self esteem. Regularly seeing a psychiatrist and keeping on track of my health goals (including but not limiting to) my mood, diet, sleeping patterns and anxiety should help me to stay on the right track to returning to school.
In addition to this, regularly seeing a therapist in order to determine unconscious issues is the next step for my academic plan. By determining these unconscious issues, we may be able to understand the root of my depression and anxiety issues and I hope pairing this with a psychiatrist can help to improve my overall performance and self esteem. I plan to use the therapist as a tool to improve my academic habits regarding time management, motivation, and academic anxiety.
I am appealing in the hopes of having all of my courses from the 2014-2015 year dropped from my record, and propose I retake these courses in the following year.
