Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
My name is Connor Naismith and I am a third year student here at Queen's and I am submitting this petition in hopes of being enrolled in the COMM 200 class for this Winter '24 semester. I was given the express permission of the instructor for this course, Mr. Douglas Reid, to request enrolment in the class, as I have been in constant contact with him since the start of this semester in pursuit of this goal. I was first on the waiting list for this class before the Add/Drop deadline, and was unable to enrol in the class myself due to the two spots in the class only becoming available at the deadline. Thus far, I only have 4 classes this semester, and I need to be enrolled in 5 if I want to stay on track with my educational plan. I am also specifically interested in this course because I'm trying to raise my GPA in order to enrol in the Certificate in Business Plan, and COMM 200 is one of the required courses, as well as the COMM 251 class that I took last semester and the COMM 231 class I am currently taking this semester. I would be grateful of a timely response on this matter, as I do not want to get further behind in the course.
