Academic Plan
I am requesting to add MATH 418 to my course schedule. The midterm is after reading week, so all I've missed so is one assignment. Over reading week I plan on spending every day going over the course material and completing the assignment I missed in order to be completely caught up and write the midterm with the rest of the class when I get back. I know it will require a lot of hard work to catch up but I am confident I will be able to. I am a very hard working and capable student which is reflected in my 4.3 gpa. Additionally, a lot of the beginning of this course is review from MATH 311, a class I took last year and ended with 100%, meaning that I have good background knowledge which will help me understand the course material more quickly. When I spoke to the course instructor Professor Ram Murty and the Department Head Professor Peter Taylor, and outlined my academic plan they were also confident that I will be able to catch up.
