Petition Letter
A few days ago, I received the email that I failed to apply for graduation in winter 2024 because AP credits and the major required courses were the same, so it could not be taken as elective courses. Before that, my SOLUS system always showed that AP courses could be counted in elective courses, and I also met the graduation conditions (took minimum 120 credits). Therefore, I was very confused about this, then consulted the academic advisor. She told me that I must take additional three elective courses so as to obtain the BA degree in the Fall term. Since my graduate program will start at the end of July instead of September, after communicating with the graduate school admission office about my situation, they told me that I need to submit the complete official transcript and the completion letter provided by the university before July 15 to prove that I have completed all courses. In this regard, I chose to take three elective courses in Athabasca University to make up for the credits. The reason for choosing this school is that the class time is more suitable for my current situation. I can finish the course and get the final official transcript before the start of the graduate program, and I will not delay the admission time of the graduate program later. Because my situation is urgent, please go through my ILOP application as soon as possible, and approve my application if there is no problem. I would appreciate it very much! Thank you.
