Petition Letter
To whom this may concern,
My name is Lauren McKenzie; I am a 4th year undergraduate student at Queen’s. I am majoring in Biochemistry, with a minor in French Studies. I am writing to you and submitting this petition regarding a retroactive/ late drop for the course FREN 324, Romans de la 20e siècle.
Due to a traumatic event in the spring of 2022, I struggled academically for the following year, and my grades for the Winger 2023 semester suffered. The reason for which I seek to drop uniquely this course is that for the others, PHYS 116 and CHEM 223, I plan to retake with the lab portion completed. Included in this petition is a letter from my Mental Wellness Counsellor, Shannon, who supports my decision.
