Academic Plan
I believe my extenuating circumstance is only temporary, as I have faith my father will be able to find a new job and recover the financial stability in my family. In the meanwhile, I am also trying to do all I can to help, whether it is working summer jobs to lessen my family's burden, or being stronger and confront reality instead of hiding away in fear and stress. This experience made me realize I am no longer a child, but rather an adult who should be giving back to my family after all they have done for me. I will no longer allow myself to feel defeated by stress, and especially not letting it negatively affecting my studies. I plan to begin next semester by missing as few classes as possible to not fall behind on any course material, as well as reaching out and seeking for help on campus whenever needed. Should my application be approved, I will take more first year courses to recover the 12 credits I need for the completion of year 1, and in the meantime enroll in relevant year 2 courses available to me (specifically DEVS and POLS courses). I have the capability to find academic success, and I am more than determined to prove it with my improvement in the coming school year.
