Academic Plan
As I prepare to resume my studies at Queen's University, I recognize the importance of crafting a meticulously detailed academic plan to navigate potential challenges and ensure academic success.
Course of Study:
-I will carefully select a well-rounded course load for the upcoming academic session, focusing on foundational courses within my major while also exploring elective courses to broaden my academic horizons.
-I have been considered for the general Pols program, and finally feel confident and satisfied in my area of study.
Strategies for Success:
-Academic advising sessions have provided me insights into my remaining courses, and I plan to structure my academic plan around approximately 17 courses (51 units), with a focus on 5 within the field of politics and a diverse selection of other subjects aligned with my interests.
-I aim to raise my GPA to at least a 1.2 by the end of the fall term.
-I aim to continue to actively seeking guidance from academic advisors and accessing resources available through Queen's University.
-I plan to actively engage with my professors, participate in study groups, and avail myself of tutoring services to deepen my understanding of course material and enhance academic proficiency.
-Continuing to develop effective learning strategies, including time management and study skills, will be a priority to optimize academic performance.
Personal and Financial Resources:
-I am prioritizing self-care practices and utilizing resources will continue to support my physical and mental well-being, ensuring that I am well-equipped to handle the demands of academic and personal life.
-I have been financial planning, including inquiring about accessing resources from the Student Awards Office and exploring scholarship opportunities, which will provide the necessary support to alleviate financial stressors and focus on academic goals.
-Preventative measures, through regular therapy, positive coping skills, and occupational therapy are the goal!
-Reflecting on past experiences in therapy will continue to help me navigate future challenges or situational demands that may arise during my academic journey.
-I plan to have regular reviews and revision of my academic plan in collaboration with academic advisors and my counsellor to assess progress and make adjustments as needed. By demonstrating accountability and actively pursuing my academic goals, I am confident in my ability to succeed at Queen's University.
With determination, resilience, and the unwavering support, I am prepared to embark on this academic journey with optimism and enthusiasm. Through careful planning and proactive measures, I am confident that I will achieve my educational goals and thrive academically. I stand poised to embark on this transformative academic journey with humility and determination.
