Petition Letter
Hello Reader,
My name is Brady Suddman and I recently just wrapped up my first year at Queens University. As my peition states, I am asking for consideration to remove my failed courses from my transcript. In my first semester I was already having trouble with adapting to the university workflow. At the time I assumed everything was normal as most students had also spoken to me about the struggle figuring everything out. I only started to notice that I was not a normal case when I came to the conclusion that the source of my struggle wasn't academics but actually a crippling mental state. I eventually reached out to my doctor at the turn of the winter semester and I was diagnosed pretty quickly with clinical depression. I would soon start to shut myself in my dorm and minimize my social interation. I never truly gave up on my course work though. I still tried to attend the tutorials I felt comfort in and I did what I could from my dorm such as my readings, quizzes, etc with the hopes that I could eventually persevere. Unfortunantley, things never worked out the way I intended. While I cannot rewrite exams or undo the past I'd like to ask for your help to get me back on my feet. My Doctor (Dr. Vivien Brown) has written me a note in support of my claims. Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
