Academic Plan
I am repeating the biology course that I failed in the Fall term of 14/15 and hope that completing it successfully will attest to my ability to address the conditions that interfered with my ability to do so originally and also to my ability to master the material.
I do intend over the summer months to seek academic and vocational counselling - appointments made for a counselor in Toronto - and it is possible that I will not wish to return to Queens this coming Fall depending on the results of those consultations. I do have a very profound wish however to complete at least my undergraduate degree, preferably at Queens, and fear that having a 'requirement to withdraw' in my history could jeopardize that possibility as well as other opportunities I may pursue. I remain committed to a degree in the sciences however recognize that the difficulties I have faced need to be examined closely before travelling further down that path. The counselling and assessments being sought this summer will help inform decisions in that regard.
I began my summer job in Toronto at the beginning of May and prior to that had difficulty scheduling a meeting with academic counselling services at Queens. Regardless of whether or not this appeal is granted, I will book an appointment for academic counselling and arrange time off work to attend.
