Academic Plan
I want to return to Queen¿¿s without having to withdraw for one year. I have begun to take care of my mental health issues, and I believe that finding professional help has been the first step as part of my future plan for university. As previously stated, I intend to continue with professional help in Kingston so that I may maintain the positive mental health that I have acquired. Further, I believe I have a good plan to be successful academically. I know that I want to major and graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I realized that in order to do this there are a few courses I must specifically take this upcoming year: MUSC 103 (Fall term), MUSC 203 (Winter term), and MUSC 191 (both terms). I plan on working with the professors in the Department of Music, in particular Dr. Stephanie Lind, about coordinating a proper schedule for my major and what they believe would benefit me most. In addition to these courses, I will choose three other arts courses as electives. During the Winter 2015 term, I was enrolled in the bounce back program. In the program, I learned valuable study strategies such as making schedules and setting deadlines for assignments in each course as well as learning where to study and avoid areas of distraction such as my apartment. I know I am able to do university level course work as evidenced by my success (B+) on an essay that was required for the Winter term of my POLS 110 class.
