Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I am a currently a 5th-year Queen's student who has 3 courses left to complete my Bachelors with a Political Studies major and History minor (2x400 level POLS and 1x200 POLS). I have consistently struggled with my mental health for the last four years, and have only in the last two months been diagnosed properly with BPD and have been prescribed a medication that allows me to function properly. I would appreciate the chance to submit the last two assignments for the POLS 464 course that I took in the Winter semester of 2024. With permission, I would now be able to finish those assignments within a week as I am now in a clear state of mind and able to properly focus on my schoolwork, which I was not able to do before this medication.
As someone who volunteered for the ASUS Appeals group I am well aware that this is well beyond the deadline for such an appeal, but am hoping for some clemency due to my altered state of mind until just recently. I have also attached a form from the hospital I have been seeing that supports my diagnosis.
