Petition Letter
Hi there! My name is Marissa Goutis and I and asking to receive a credit standing in PSYC100 that I took in the 2023/2024 academic year. I spent my first semester at Bader and found various difficulties that I believe affected my overall grade in PSYC100. Firstly with the sudden closure of Bader there were various things that immediately changed such as the switch to online learning. When we began online learning there were no longer tutorials and no opportunity to seek help when needed. I found that this was very difficult to be forced to adjust to with such little warning. When coming to main campus (Kingston), the PSYC content and the way that it was taught was not as it used to be at Bader and took time to adjust to. Seeing as PSYC100 was a full year course there were many topics that we were tested on that we did not learn in full and had to resort to teaching ourselves the content. Inclosing the closure of Bader was a difficult occurrence to balance school work and was a difficult change to suddenly make. For these extenuating circumstances that were beyond my control I believe that I should be able to take a credit standing in PSYC100 course.
