Petition Letter
Dear Associate Dean,
My name is Zhe Wang, and my student ID is 20304717. I am requesting an exception to take more than 6.0 units of courses through ILOP again. As you knew in my last application, I already got your approval to get a chance to take a JAPN course (300 Level) outside Queens. However, till now JPAN professor don't recommend me to take it due to some limitations.
For my graduation, I need to complete 6 units of 200-level or 6 units of 300-level LLCU language courses. Because I didn't found the Japanese 300 courses that can be successfully transferred, and I got a good grade in French 118 in my junior year, I decided to complete 2 French 200-level courses to complete graduation. But I cannot select 200 level French courses at Queen due to prerequisite. For 2024 Fall term, the registration has been closed, and for Winter term, FREN230 or FREN 231, they need FREN 150 as their prerequisite that I cannot met (I only completed FREN 118 at Queen).
For my graduation in four years (with perhaps an extra summer), and continuing my graduate program in 2025, I sincerely hope you could approve my petition to take the 200 level French courses outside Queen this Winter term.
Thanks for your consideration and help!
Best,
Zhe WANG
