Petition Letter
Hello,
I am a first year student currently enrolled in ANAT 100 online. The most recent assignment, called You're the Expert, required students to create a narrated powerpoint on a given topic. I created a full presentation with the audio length meeting the guidelines for the assignment. I tested the audio before submitting it to make sure it was working and also asked a family member to test it. However, upon submitting the assignment, the second half of the audio for my presentation was lost. I received a poor grade on the assignment because there was no audio for the second half of the presentation. Within 24 hours of being notified of the initial grade, I attempted to resubmit the assignment, making sure the full audio was included, but my request was denied as it was not submitted to the onQ dropbox. The onQ dropbox however was closed after the due date and therefore I was unable to submit it through this dropbox. I would like to ask for the help of the Office of the Associate Dean to appeal this grade because it was caused by technical problems out of my control. I am attaching a link to my assignment in powerpoint at the bottom of this letter, which I believe demonstrates a strong effort to complete the assignment per the instructions provided. I would greatly appreciate your consideration and assistance with a re-assessment of my grade for this assignment.
