To whom it may concern,
I am requesting credit standing for PSYCH 100.
During the fall term at Bader College and the winter term on main campus, I experienced many difficulties when transitioning and throughout the entirety of the winter term that negatively impacted my performance in PSYCH 100. The transition, going from Bader College to the main Queen's University campus was significantly different and more difficult than I anticipated it to be.
During the fall term at Bader and when the campus was shut down for the rest of the semesters, the course lectures, including tutorials were online. This severely impacted me as a student, as my tutorial professor did not use any technology and I had to teach myself the bigger, more complicated terms and content. After transitioning to the main campus, the course was completely different from how it was taught at Bader and I had to adjust midway, while the rest of my classmates already had experience in this form of learning. I chose to continue in PSYC 100 as it is a mandatory course for my B.Ed program, and dropping the course was not an option. The importance of completing and receiving credit for this course added to the pressure I was facing.
Although I did not perform very well in PSYCH 100, my performance in the rest of my courses were significantly better in the winter term. The ENGL and HIST courses I took had an easier to adapt learning style and were not 6 unit credits, like PSYCH 100, where you needed knowledge from the first semester to be successful in the second one.
Given the unforeseeable circumstances, I respectfully request a credit standing for PSYCH 100. This standing would greatly assist me in being able to stay on track to completing my B.Ed program.
