Petition Letter
Dear Dean,
I am writing to either defer the final exam for Psyc 370 II a second time or drop the class past the deadline.
I am writing as I am required to write the deferred exam tomorrow, but physically and emotionally, I cannot. I am suffering from a debilitating sinus infection I am trying to overcome, but after writing two different finals today back to back, I am exhausted and depleted.
When I say emotionally as well as physically, I was sexually assaulted a few days ago. I did not report it as I did not know how to without my small children finding out, and I do not want to scar them.
My doctor wrote the note concerning my sinus infection as well as my anxiety concerning the assault.
If you wish me to write the exam in the allotted allowed time at a later date, I will or I would, kindly ask you to drop the course if possible past the drop date.
