Dear Dr. Jenn Stephenson
My name is Kiko Saleh, and I would like to request a late enrollment into NSCI 403 for the Winterm 2025 term.
I have a strong interest in neuroscience and am hoping to be able to enroll in this course, as I am planning on switching into the Life Science plan for next year. Prior to the enrollment deadline, I received permission from the course instructor, Dr. Stroman, to join the course. I contacted the Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences (DBMS) to finalize but unfortunately, I did not receive a response until Monday, after the deadline had passed. I had been attempting to enroll in this course since enrollment in August, and was in correspondence with the Life Sciences Faculty support but couldn’t add the course due to class requirements, specifically enrollment in a prerequisite course, ANAT 312, and a GPA threshold. Unfortunately the final grade for ANAT 312 was released on Solus after the transcript deadline of January 12th, ultimately shortening the window to ask for permission to enroll in the course to 3 days.
Given my genuine enthusiasm for this course and the steps I took to secure my enrollment before the deadline, I kindly ask for your consideration in allowing me to enroll in NSCI 403 despite the missed deadline. I am fully committed to meeting all course requirements and contributing to the learning environment.
